Happy Monday!
It’s back to our old routine for us today as Matty heads back to work after 16 wonderful days at home! What am I supposed to do with these girlies all by myself today??
Before we jump back into regular life, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last few days of vacation.
Spoiler Alert: We had a lot of fun!
Last Thursday we had the best little day date with the girls. It started off with our first trip to the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum. Both girls wanted to walk with their daddy out of the parking garage . . . that’s fine with me!
The girls had a great time exploring!
They loved the water tables, but I think they enjoyed drying their hands even more!
After the museum we walked to Jolly Pumpkin where we had a delightful lunch, and I took zero pictures. The girls were so well behaved, we split some delicious food, and had a great time.
We passed a Cupcake Station on our walk back to the car and popped in for the girls to each enjoy a mini cupcake, then it was home for nap and rest time. What a great day!
Lucy spent the night at Grandma Rita’s on Friday, and we got to have some one on one time with our sweet Emmy Roses. The sun was shining big time so we went for a walk and made a stop at the playground.
We took another walk Saturday after a trip to the grocery, and Ems enjoyed a snack and having the whole wagon to herself.
Having just one child was so easy! I was doing some laundry, and sweet Ems just went into her room and got busy playing.
On Sunday morning we took the girls bowling for the first time. Tiny little bowling shoes were the sweetest!
They had a great time! Emmy was adamant about carrying the ball and putting it on the ramp all by herself, and she did a great job.
Matty got the best bowler award!
We ended the weekend with ice cream sundaes with homemade chocolate sauce! The girls were pumped . . . and made a huge mess.
So, the sugar IV’s that we’ve basically been hooked up to for the last month have officially been removed as of today. Meals have been prepped, plans have been made, and goals have been set. Treats will be an occasional occurrence now instead of an every day expectation. We can do it!
As far as blog resolutions go for the new year, I’m thinking of doing a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule from now on. Monday and Friday will most likely still be posts about the girls, but I’m thinking of doing different things for Wednesdays, such as book reviews, product suggestions . . . anything that strikes my fancy!
Have a great week!
XOXO
