Happy Thursday, friends!
It’s almost the Saturday before Thanksgiving, which means it’s almost time to decorate our new house for Christmas! I’m more than a little pumped, and I think Matty is too because he’s already asked me like three times if I want to put up the tree yet.
But first, a little life lately.
Monday was cold but sunny, so we got out for a walk before lunchtime. The girls randomly wanted to take the wagon instead of walking, and they laid down in it the entire time. It was a great walk!
Lucy is ready for Thanksgiving!
Emmy put on the goggles and got to work all on her own. She’s such a cutie!
Later that day she helped Matty hang some curtains . . . which we ended up not liking. #bummer
Ems and I ran to Kohl’s while Lucy was at school on Tuesday to return the curtains I didn’t like . . . and found some pillows I LOVE! They are so soft and cuddly and cute! My brain knows I can’t keep all of them, but my heart feels differently. Saturday will be judgement day when we bring out all the other decor and see which pillows work best.
Every once in a blue moon, Lulu wants to climb into Emmy’s crib after her nap and snuggle up.
Marie and I survived another year of our husbands doing golf league every Tuesday night. She had a toddler and a newborn. I had two crazy toddlers. We finally left all the kiddos at home with the husbands this past Tuesday night and hit the town for some wine and wood fired pizza . . . and we didn’t even wait until after bedtime to leave. The guys got home from work, and we left them to fend for themselves. . . except we left them dinner . . . and set out pj’s . . . and made it all easy for them. ๐
Lucy was “getting some work done” while I emptied the dishwasher yesterday morning.
Emmy’s new favorite activity is playing with my cookie cutters in the pantry while I make dinner. She’s been known to fill up Matty’s lunchbox with them as a surprise in the morning.
The girls got all fancied up to decorate Grandma Rita’s birthday present.
Daylight saving time is really ruining our post dinner routine. We haven’t left the house after dinner since it happened, and we are all getting tired of being cooped up, so we mixed things up a bit after dinner yesterday and took a family trip to the beer store. #classy
Lucy really wanted to bring Marshmallow the Bear, so he came along for the ride too!
While we were out, we drove the girls by this vet clinic near our house that has already gone all out for Christmas!
And finally, here’s a super cute video of Ems that I made for Matty yesterday. He does not allow jumping on the new couches, and she couldn’t get enough of it yesterday morning!
If you need me this weekend, I’ll be decking the halls and eating pizza for dinner.
I can’t wait!
XOXO
