Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
I hope you’re all gearing up for a day filled with turkey, family, and dessert.
I usually type my posts the evening before they go live on the Internet. In true mom brain fashion, I sat down on the couch last night with Matty to continue binge watching The Office. We had a nice little night and then at 10:20 when we headed upstairs to bed, I realized I hadn’t blogged! I think knowing that Matt was going to be home the next day made it feel like a Friday to me, so it never even crossed my mind. #oops
As is the case with me for the past few days, I woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep. So, I’m hunkered on the couch with the tree on and the fireplace going, which isn’t too terrible . . . even if it is 5:15am!
This week was short and sweet . . . thank goodness!
I had a bunch of returns to do at the mall, so I loaded the girls up on Monday morning and we headed out. As far as sitting in the stroller for the 30 minutes it took me to get everywhere and do my returns, the girls were fine. As soon as I wanted to browse or try something on they went a little crazy though!
These flamingo masks kept them busy in the Hanna Andersson store. Their Halloween items are the best. If we’re ever super duper rich, and I want to spend $150 on Halloween costumes for my children, I shall buy their costumes from Hanna Andersson. ๐
The girls were super excited to see Santa. Lucy wanted to go sit on his lap right then and there. Ems was waving and yelling, “Santa!” Let’s hope that excitement continues all the way through their actual visit with the Big Guy!
Lucy’s class had a Feast of Favorites at school, and she chose to take in Hershey Kiss pretzel treats.
These two love playing “Elves” after Emmy’s nap. They both get in the crib, I dump ALL the stuffies in there, and then they take turns delivering the stuffies to people. Which really means just tossing them back into the bins.
That smile!!
I was getting dinner ready and this cute little face appeared . . and then her hand tried to grab the plates away so I had to move them back.
I don’t remember why Lulu was so grumpy for this picture, but I do remember being surprised that she put all these bows in her hair and then kept them in for three hours!
Emmy approves of the pretzel treats!
I bought this felt Christmas tree off Amazon, and it has been great! The girls love decorating and undecorating it over and over again. It’s super high quality felt and so far has stuck to the wall just fine with a bunch of Command strips. This exact one is no longer on sale or Prime, but this one is super similar . . . and still a great price in my opinion! I’m telling you, for under $20 it’s the best money you’ll ever spend to buy yourself some time to get dinner ready in peace!
All ready for her last day of school before Thanksgiving break!
Emmy and I ran some errands while Lucy was in school, and she couldn’t get enough hugs from this giant Santa. Maybe there’s a Christmas miracle in the works and she’s going to actually sit on Santa’s lap??!
It’s going to be a looooong winter!
Lucy came with me to an appointment yesterday, and then we stopped for lunch . . .
. . . and got her hair freshened up for the holidays!
We have so much to be thankful for this year.
Our family is happy, healthy, and oh so grateful!
I’m extra thankful for this guy who works so hard to make our life possible . . and puts up with ALL THE CRAZINESS of living with three girls!
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
XOXO
