Happy Monday!
Despite all the rain, we had a pretty good weekend over here at the Kissel house.
Lucy will sleep through almost anything . . . including me trying to wake her up for school!
Once I finally got Lucy up, Emmy decided to get cozy in Lulu’s bed. So so cute . . . but she better not get any ideas! She’s going to be in her crib as long as possible.
This girl is attached to my hip. Literally. We remember this phase with Lucy, but we also remember that it lasts for like a year! If I’m in the house and Ems isn’t with me, the tears are flowing. I go back and forth between finding it endearing and finding it annoying. I guess at this moment I thought it was pretty cute.
Moana!
On Friday night I hosted our annual Fall Scarf Exchange. . . except this year we changed it up to do any type of fall accessories. I totally forgot to take pictures of all the gifts, but there was nail polish, necklaces, scarves, a hat, and a Starbucks gift card.
I ended up with this adorable scarf and some great nail polish!
Matty was already sleeping upstairs by 11:00 when I remembered to take a picture . . . so here we are trying to fit ourselves into a selfie! And our friend Becky left before I thought about the picture, so we are missing one more!
By the time I’d cleaned up the house after the party and showered, it was after midnight before I got to sleep! I was looking forward to not having to work out on Saturday morning and getting to sleep in a little . . . but Emmy Roses had other ideas and randomly woke up ready to go at 5:45am. #ugh
And to top it all off, it was a dark, rainy morning. #doubleugh
Once everyone was awake, we decided to run a few errands and then have an early lunch at Buddy’s Pizza . . . because it’s the best pizza ever!
It doesn’t get better than this!
Lucy was thrilled to get to use her umbrella . . . even though the rain had stopped by this point!
Once we got home from lunch, Ems went right down for a nap and then this was how the next hour or so played out. A rare sighting of a napping Molly! Remember that late night and early wake up call? It caught up with me!
More rain on Sunday morning (yuck!) meant that we headed to Sky Zone for toddler time. The girls had a blast jumping around.
We stopped at Kroger on the way home, and the Wiener Mobile was parked out front so Matty and Lucy checked it out.
Ems wasn’t too interested in the wiener mobile, but she sure was excited about the giant cookie the ladies at the bakery gave her!
After Kroger, our friends Ryan and Stephanie came over and we ordered some middle eastern food for lunch and watched the football game while Ems napped. It was a great little afternoon.
Emmy woke up and was ready for a snack, so the girls sat on our mat in front of our sink.
Finally, we picked these up at Trader Joe’s last week, and they are delicious! They have the best selection of fall themed treats, and these cookies do not disappoint! If you’re in TJ’s anytime soon, I highly recommend them.
Oh wait . . . one more thing. Hot on the heels of me being slightly exasperated with Emmy’s clinginess this weekend, Google made this video mash up of her. These darn Google videos get me every time! I blame the music!
Have a great week!
XOXO
