We’ve been up to a whole lot of nothing this week!
We didn’t have any appointments or play dates, no big errands to run, and (other than the occasional neighbor or Target cashier) no adult interaction for me. This week is dragging!
The good news is that we are having our windows cleaned today, and I’m probably more excited than I should be. We had our windows done at our old house for the first time ever last November, and I was blown away at what a difference it made. We have a bajillion windows in our new house, and they are all pretty dirty, so I’ve got high hopes for how they’ll look when the job is done. And, really, the best part is that I don’t have to do it myself! ๐
So here’s a little glimpse into what we’ve been up to this week. Try to stay awake.
It rained ALL MORNING on Monday. I had planned to go to Target, but I didn’t need anything desperately enough to dash through the rain with two kiddos. So we stayed home all morning long. #emphasisonlong
We smushed Emmy’s face with the headphones . . .
. . . watched some Frozen . . .
. . . and let Ems play with PlayDoh for the first time! She did a great job until Lucy pulled out the brown and said, “This looks like a chocolate malt!” and then Emmy yelled, “Malt!” and licked the brown PlayDoh!
At one point I got distracted doing something with Emily and then Lucy called me over to see what she’d created, and it made me LOL!
They’ve been laying like this to watch TV a lot lately, and I just think it’s adorable!
This picture isn’t the greatest, but their matching outfits for Tuesday were so darn cute!
Made it to Target while Lucy was at school, and Ems is in that wonderful stage where she doesn’t want to go in a cart. And she threw her second carseat tantrum when we left. She went stiff as a board, and it was impossible for me to get her into her carseat. Lucy went through this stage in a major way around this age, and it almost broke me. Here’s hoping Emmy goes easy on me!
I’d like to say that Lucy wears clothes in the house at least some of the time, but it’s really not true.
I promise that the girls don’t watch TV all day long . . . I just happen to have several pics of them doing it this week. Here they were watching Daniel Tiger before bed on Wednesday, and they kind of melted my heart!
Speaking of melting my heart . . . check out Ems with her full blown pigtails! She doesn’t look like my little baby anymore ๐
And she stands on the stool and brushes her own teeth (after I get a turn). She is definitely growing up.
Ems had double babies and was pretty happy about it!
I’m on my second week of 5:15am wake ups so I can workout before our day starts. This means that some days I need a little rest while Emmy naps. Lucy tends to disagree with me. That’s my body underneath the white blanket!
Emmy stepped up on to her crib for the first time yesterday. Her monkey-like skills are escalating!
And finally, we bought the cutest little mini ice cream cones at Trader Joe’s yesterday. The girls each enjoyed one after dinner last night, and Em’s range of emotions upon receiving it were hilarious.
So that’s it. Pretty riveting post, if I do say so myself.
I’m hosting a Moms Night Out on Friday where we’ll do our annual Fall Scarf Exchange . . . except this year we changed it to fall accessories. I can’t wait to get some time with my friends, and a huge thank you in advance to Matty for taking care of the girls while we have our fun!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
