Happy Friday Eve!!
Can you believe that summer is coming to an end? Hopefully the weather gets the memo soon, because I melted outside with the girls this week!
We had one last big play date at a park on Tuesday before Lucy and all of her sweet friends start preschool. I’m losing my touch because I didn’t even attempt a group picture!
This thing was higher than it looks in the picture. Lucy climbed all the way to the top . . .and then couldn’t get down. You know my motto: photograph first, help second.
They took a break from the heat to eat some turkey roll ups on the ground.
It was still so darn hot out Tuesday evening. I was flying solo, though, and didn’t have the energy to get us all to the pool so we played in the sprinkler before bath and bed.
Yesterday morning I took the girls to an open house for a music and play class that will be taking place at an indoor soccer field. I don’t think we’ll be signing up for the class, but the girls enjoyed playing on all the toys. Seriously, they had so many! If Little Tikes or Step 2 makes it, this place had it!
Lucy LOVED this drum. I’m thinking two of these might find their way under the Christmas tree this year.
Playing in the food truck!
After dinner I thought I was being #1 mama and made strawberries with whipped cream and sprinkles for dessert . . .
. . . until about an hour and a half later when the neighbors pulled out the ice cream cones!
This was Emmy’s first actual ice cream cone. I envisioned me holding/eating it while giving her bites. No, m’am!! That girl took it right out of my hand and got to work. It was the cutest thing ever, and she definitely stole the show!
This weekend we are headed to the cottage one last time for the summer, but I will still have a post up on Monday. Here’s hoping for good weather, happy children, and AMAZING SLEEPERS!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
