Today’s post is going to go pretty quickly. It’s 10:21pm on Wednesday, and I am so over this day! Mainly, because a lot of it was spent like this:
This was Emmy at 7:30 Wednesday morning, and this is how she spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon. My sweet little ray of sunshine is not usually fussy, but, man, was something bothering her yesterday! She didn’t have a fever, but I almost wish that she did have one so it would explain why she was so upset. Does that make sense?
Let’s back up a bit to Monday when I was feeling ambitious and thought I’d try to do a photo shoot with both girls . . . on my own. Lucy was pretty easy, and I LOVED her outfit.
I thought Emmy’s was cute . . . until I put her next to Lucy and then I didn’t like the white background or the high neckline. And it’s impossible to photograph a 15 month old by yourself! It requires at least two adults, but probably more like five or six! ๐
Let’s be honest . . . it’s not like I’m using these balls for anything these days!
Red, white, and blue . . . and pink sandals! One of these years I’m going to buy white sandals. #maybe
Lucy got her second haircut this week! Her first one was just before Christmas. This time, she got her hair washed and loved it!
She looks at least five or six years old! And why does her hair look so dark??
Andy and Gordie got haircuts this week too. They got suckers after theirs, but Lucy doesn’t need to know that!
Lucy built this all by herself!
Carson’s is going out of business, so I took the girls to play at the mall and check out the sales. I exercised great restraint, both in general purchases and in this giant bear!
Lucy was loving life! And Emmy as crying in my arms. Not even giant stuffed bears could cheer her up yesterday!
And finally, I finished this book a few weeks ago but kept forgetting to post about it. I couldn’t put it down and loved it the entire way through . . . until the last two pages! Let me know if you read it, and we can chat about the ending!
Matty has been working nonstop lately, and we are so excited to have him to ourselves for an entire week! We are going to sweat it out at the cottage for the 4th of July, and I’m looking forward to giving the girls their first s’more and finally letting Lucy stay up late enough to see fireworks. I may have one post for next week . . . but maybe not! I suppose it depends on how quickly I get things packed.
Have a great 4th of July!
God Bless America!
