Happy Summer! It officially starts today, but we’ve been doing all sorts of summer activities all week long.
Lucy loves nothing more than to drink from the sprinkler. #ew
Emmy is getting braver with the sprinkler, but still prefers the water table. I prefer anything that shows off those chunky thighs!!
Emmy was really hamming it up the other morning. In case you didn’t know, ALL she does is walk laps around the house now. Seriously . . .all day long! She recently started carrying the carseat with her baby in it, and it’s pretty adorable.
I went to put some laundry away and came back to find her like this. Who knew she could put on her own sunglasses?!
My mom and I took the girls to Tunes on Tuesday in Northville. They had a blast . . .can’t you tell? For real, though, it was a little too crowded and cramped for us. We’ll stick to Music in the Park in Plymouth.
Carla sent me this on Tuesday night. How cute is Andy?! He’s pumped for his first sleepover.
I took the girls out to eat by myself for the first time yesterday morning. It wasn’t terrible, but I definitely prefer having another adult with me!
After going out to breakfast and a quick stop at Target, I took the girls to story time at Maybury farm. I pretty much felt like super mom yesterday morning! This was our first time at the farm, and it was great! There were lots of animals to look at, and they have a great little playground.
Apparently, there was something more captivating than their mama trying to take their picture!
The stories were all about bunnies, and they had some bunnies in cages which was pretty cute!
Why is it that when the girls actually play together, it’s usually something naughty?? A few weeks ago, they had some great sister bonding time while ripping up a book. Yesterday, they threw about 36 puzzle piece over the gate and down the stairs. And I let it happen because all I heard was giggling, laughing, and squealing.
Hey, if you’re ever looking for a way to get really frustrated really fast . . .try playing a board game with a three year old. They have no respect or regard for any type of rule whatsoever!
I mean, if you have to take an evening conference call this isn’t a bad way to do it.
We have a pretty low key weekend, which is awesome! I’m kicking it off with a Moms Night In at my friend Lisa’s house Friday night, and I am so excited for some mama time!!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
