Happy Thursday, friends!
Is it just me, or is this week taking forever? While it may be passing at a snail’s pace, there’s still been lots of cuteness.
Emmy is currently in a stage where she only wants to eat things she can feed herself. I made the mistake of trying to feed her cottage cheese on Monday, and she would only eat it if she could hold the bowl. And who needs a spoon when you have your hands?!
Lucy went through a similar phase at this age!
We went to the park Monday evening, and Emmy Roses was struttin’ her stuff all over the place!
And then Lucy pushed her home.
There are four days this week where Matty gets home late. This was us at the end of day one. ha!
Finally got some pigtails on this sweet girl, and she actually left them in!
We tried out a different park on Tuesday, and it was so nice to have swings!
After about half an hour, two bus loads of kids got dropped off for a field trip, and that was our cue to leave. We headed over to Meijer where Emily walked around . . .
. . . and got her first ride on the penny pony!
Lucy was loving the new background . . .
. . . but wasn’t too pleased when she had to share her second ride with Emily. #iflookscouldkill
Lucy asked Oma to paint her nails . . . and, again, insisted on removing it about an hour later. #nomore
When they’re matching and this darn cute, I have to take a lot of pictures.
What a difference three seconds makes!
I’m reading such a good book right now (I’ll tell you all about it when I’m done!), and I just wanted a little time to read yesterday while Emmy napped. Lucy happily watched a Daniel Tiger while I read. I would have preferred if she had watched it in her room, but I’ll take what I can get!
Our park has been under construction for awhile, so the splash pad has been closed. Imagine our surprise when we went for a walk yesterday afternoon and the water was on! We didn’t have suits, towels, or sunscreen, but I couldn’t say no!
I just love this picture and this sweet girl so much! That smile is amazing!
And finally, how cute are Tommy and Wendel out on a walk? I don’t think they care for one another very much, but this picture hides it well.
Is everyone ready for a HOT weekend?? We have some big plans, including celebrating our 12th anniversary! And by celebrating I mean possibly going out to lunch, but more than likely just taking the girls to get ice cream. We’ve had 12 amazing years so far, and I’m pretty sure this next one is going to be pretty awesome!
Have a great weekend, and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
XOXO
