FINALLY!!!
We finally got some spring weather this weekend, and we soaked up every minute of it! It started out sunny and cool . . . but by Sunday we were outside without jackets on. #thankgoodness
Lucy had a great time picking dandelions Thursday afternoon.
I baked cookies for Matty to take into work, and it was a family affair. Check out Emmy’s face . . . that’s exactly how I feel when I see cookie dough!
Ems has some new cupcake Hanna Jams from Aunt Carla, and they are adorable!
Friday was a beautiful day! We took a two mile walk in the morning, stopped to play at the park on the way home, then ordered soup and a salad for lunch and purposely parked far away from the restaurant so that we could walk to pick it up.
All of the mamas were getting together again at my friend Lisa’s house. It seemed like a good reason to make a triple chocolate bundt cake with a vanilla glaze during nap time.
After nap and rest time on Friday, we had snack outside.
I think Ems could be in an ad for Go Go pouches . . .
. . . and Lucy could help sell some Veggie Straws!
This is how we felt about being outside all day!
Then, it was trampoline time! I gave Emmy a chance to scoot around a bit on her own, and she loved it!
Trampoline hair!
Right after we put the girls to bed on Friday, I high tailed it over to Lisa’s for some much needed mama time with snacks, drinks, and Pictionary! I am notoriously terrible at drawing, and I’m ok with it. My card said “salt and pepper.” This is all I had to draw before my team guessed it! Maybe I’m not so bad after all. ๐
We were busy busy busy on Saturday doing errands and playing outside. And I have zero pictures of it.
Lucy was living the life on Sunday morning.
We spent Sunday afternoon celebrating this guy . . . who turned 10 over the weekend! Holy Moly!
It was another gorgeous day, and everyone was outside blowing bubbles . . . which clearly was more interesting to the girls than the picture we were trying to take!
Andy asked for a pair of aviator sunglasses, and that’s what we got him.
Emmy Roses was too busy taking a phone call to take a picture with her Aunt Carla.
After the party, we dropped Emmy off at my parents’ house and Lucy off at Rita’s house! Matty and I headed home for a free night. He thought he caught me sleeping in the car . . . but he was wrong. I caught him taking pictures instead of focusing on the road, though. #naughty
Lucy definitely puts the “face” (and cheeks!) in Face Timing!
So Matty is off to Mexico this week. Boo!
I have to take Sydney to the vet on Monday, which makes me nervous. Double Boo!
I also have to pack myself and the girls up all on my own and head to the cottage Thursday afternoon with Rita. Triple Boo (to the packing/loading part)!
But the good news is that Matty will meet us there Thursday evening . . . along with Sarah, Brian, Tommy, and Eleanor! So that’s the light at the end of my loooong lonely week. I can do it!
Have a great week!
XOXO
