Hi, friends!
I have been going non stop since Friday morning. Birthday prep, birthday party, Easter prep, Easter celebrations . . . it’s all been super fun, but this mama is TIRED!
Courtesy of Carla and my niece, Sadie, I have a hundred-ish pictures to go through from Emmy’s birthday party alone . . . and then there’s the Easter pics!
Matty as been a super trooper though the entire weekend, and even took Monday off so we could have a low key day without any events. I’m going to cut myself off from all picture editing/blog posting/social media for the night and snuggle up to him. As soon as I finish this quick post.
Here’s a random thing that we dealt with today.
Lucy spent a lot of Easter morning crawling in and out of her crib. This is not the first time she’s done this, so I figured it was time to just go for it and turn her crib into a toddler bed.
At one point, Lucy had climbed in and then Emmy did this. #doubletrouble
So Matty took off the front railing, and Lucy was super pumped to have a big girl bed!
She mentioned several times throughout the day how excited she was to go to sleep in her big girl bed. And about 45 minutes after she went to bed, this is what Matty was doing! haha
Lucy had come out of her room twice. The second time, in addition to having a poopy diaper, she was upset and said she was scared of her big girl bed and wanted her crib back. We really just wanted her to go to sleep and didn’t want to make a huge issue, so I read her some stories while Matty put the crib back together . . . and now she’s sleeping like a baby!
And because I know you’re all dying to see the pictures, here’s a sneak peek of the birthday girl with her cake.
Hopefully the rest of Emmy’s birthday adventure will be up Tuesday.
XOXO
