I am so excited about this post! Even though it may sound like an advertisement, this is not sponsored in any way. I’m just dying to tell you about my newfound love for Chatbooks. If you love taking pictures as much as I do but always struggle with which ones to print, then this is going to rock your world.
I had heard about the Chatbooks app for awhile and had even seen some ads for it. A few weeks ago I was up in the middle of the night with Emily, and I had finished the book I was reading. I didn’t have another one ready to read, so I decided to download the Chatbooks app and finally check it out.
It was so easy, fast, and user-friendly! Has anyone ever made a Shutterfly photo book? I’ve made a ton, and they are a real pain in the butt to format. Chatbooks prides itself on being way easier than Shutterfly, and they nailed it! Basically, you choose whether you want them to access all the pics on your phone, your Facebook pics, or your Instagram pictures. I chose Instagram because I take waaay too many pictures each day to print all of the pictures that are on my phone. I figured if it’s something worth posting on Instagram, then it’s something I might want to print and have for posterity . . . you know . . .in case the Internet ever disappears.
So the app can access my Instagram pictures, and every time I post 60 pics, it turns them into a book and automatically prompts me for approval before printing and shipping to me. So if there’s 60 photos, and I decide not to include four of them, the book won’t print until I post four more pictures on Instagram. Does that make sense?
Anyhoo, I had enough pictures to print five books. The basic books are $8 each, plus $3 shipping and handling. So, for $11 you get the cutest little photo book! Ok, enough rambling. Here are some pictures of my Chatbooks.
I know my partially decorated sideboard says Halloween, but when I got home the other day and saw my package from Chatbooks, you’d have thought it was Christmas morning!
They are printed on super thick, high quality paper.
You can choose which picture you’d like for the cover.
It even prints the date the picture was posted and any caption that I included on Instagram.
I hate to drone on and on . . . but I’m going to. I am really SO impressed with how simple this was. You can ask Matty . . . I was very excited about how great the books turned out. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Oh, and it’s easy enough to do at 3:00am while rocking a fussy baby!
If you decide to give it a try, I hope you love it as much as I do!
XOXO
I'm so glad you posted this! I've seen the FB ads for a while now and have wondered about it, but never looked into it. Guess I'll have to now ๐ But you post a ton of pics so I think it makes so much sense that this method would work for you. I have a million pics that never get posted anywhere – if only I could make a book of pics I text to you, LOLOLOL!
Carla, you can allow it to just access your camera roll and then you can just delete all the random pics you wouldn't want to print (or the 15 pics you take to get one good picture!) haha
