Another Labor Day is in the books! Matty had Friday through Tuesday off, so our vacation really started Thursday night. We walked up to a wood-fired pizza place by our house and ate some delicious pizza outside.
The weather over the weekend was cooler than we’d like, but fairly sunny. If I had a dollar for every time one of us looked up and started a sentence with, “Remember when we didn’t have kids . . . ” I’d be out buying expensive things right now. And, if I had a dollar for every time one of these four kiddos pooped or spit up, I’d be out buying REALLY expensive things right now. Honestly, we all worked really hard to get where we are, and I think we are all adjusting as well as can be expected when four babies are added to the family in two years. We wouldn’t trade it for anything . . . except maybe just ONE quiet boat ride.
For the most part, these pictures speak for themselves so sit back, relax, and enjoy!
We hadn’t even made it to the highway yet on Friday morning, and these two were misbehaving.
Napping Lucy . . . a very rare sight over the weekend.
Our neighbors across the street got a new play set!
Lucy discovered the joy of having a magnetic refrigerator!
Now, I know there is a three month age difference, but STILL! Emily is gigantic! Would you believe that Eleanor actually weighed more than Emily did at birth?
What a great way to end the summer!
We have a super busy weekend ahead of us: Matty’s work is hosting a day at the Detroit Zoo on Saturday, and then Emily’s Baptism is Sunday! Thank goodness the weather looks great for both events. Also, I may or may not have purchased matching leopard print pants for the girls to wear with their zoo shirts. #youknowidid
Have a great weekend!
XOXO
