We are having a bit of a crazy week over here. Matty has a lot going on in the evenings for work this week, so I’ve been flying solo a lot. And what I thought was a runny nose for Emmy due to teething turned out to be a full blown cold . . . for both girls! Green stuff everywhere . . . including all over me!
This girl woke up early but happy on Monday morning.
Unfortunately, Emily was ready for a morning nap right when Lucy woke up, so Lu got some bonus screen time . . . along with some Teddy Grahams . . . while I rocked Em to sleep.
Lucy hasn’t worn bibs in over a year. But I put one Emily this week, and suddenly Lucy wanted to wear one all day long.
I made some zucchini carrot muffins that I thought were pretty delicious . . .
. . . and Lucy agreed!
This is the reason why I have to start loading the car 10 minutes early now.
We had a nice little play date on Tuesday morning, and no play date is complete without Veggie Straws. All of our kiddos love them.
I went to Once Upon a Child to look for some clearance summer clothes for Emily, but ended up getting these track suits for the girls instead! #sportysisters
Lucy couldn’t wait to try hers on!
By yesterday morning both girls had full blown colds. Emmy was pretty fussy, so she’s been spending lots of time in the carrier. You can see in her cute little face that she’s not feeling well.
Lucy was not happy that I wiped her messy nose before taking her pic, so she wouldn’t smile for me.
She was cuddling up her dolly saying, “It’s ok, baby, a bottle will make it allll better.”
I pushed this monstrosity through Target yesterday. . . .while wearing Emily. I just kept telling myself that Lucy was loving it, so it’s worth it.
What you can’t hear is Emily snoring like crazy because of her cold.
And what am I up to this weekend? . . . . POTTY TRAINING!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I’m hoping this is one of those situations where it’s really not going to be as bad as I’m making it out to be. But I am DREADING it. Matt is going away for a golf weekend, Emily is splitting her time between the grandmas’ houses, and I’ll be home with Lucy, some Lysol wipes, and a million books about going potty. #helpme
Any prayers, well wishes, tips, and tricks are much appreciated. As is chocolate. And alcohol.
Wish me luck. I’ll see you on the other side!
XOXO
