Emmy’s getting better about sleeping, so I’m getting better about blogging. A win-win for everyone! We’ve been chugging right along here at the Kissel house. The days are flying by mostly . . . except for between the hours of 2pm and 5pm. Longest three hours ever! #daddycomehome
A super sweet loving gaze. Most likely followed by a high-pitched squeal that woke Emmy up, but I can overlook that with a picture this cute.
Emmy wore her Sunday best when we went to her Baptism meeting last Tuesday. Thank you to Aunt Sarah for the adorable outfit!
It’s important to stay hydrated when you’re playing outside and it’s 93 degrees!
Lucy had her friend Amelia over last week. They wore similar bathing suits and had a great time ignoring one another on the trampoline.
My first outing to the mall with both girls . . . and our new double stroller! It was certainly not easy, but we all survived!
Emmy enjoyed looking around and taking in the sights of Briarwood, for about 10 minutes.
“I go fast like Dadu!” Also, it cost $1 to ride each of these little cars! No thank you! We’ll stick to the penny pony at Meijer.
Shopping has the same affect on me as it does on Emmy. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to recharge my batteries because LuLu decided that she would yell, “Mama, Momoo, Mommy, MOM!” from her crib for over an hour instead of nap. Girl’s got stamina.
Lucy went to the grocery with Matty, and Emmy stayed home with me to bake cookies. I think she enjoyed it!
Lucy and I lined up all of her people to use the potty before boarding the plane. The line was long, slow moving, and I think a lot of them missed their connecting flights.
An early morning walk on Friday morning. Lucy got breakfast in the stroller, and Emmy snoozed a bit. LOVE our new stroller!
Just hanging around at the playground!
Friday was our 11th anniversary, and we celebrated by going out to dinner and to the Tigers game with friends. We were so happy to get out of the house on time, without tears, and looking presentable!
It was a beautiful night for a game!
Comerica Park puts on a great fireworks show after the games on Friday nights. Our seats were awesome for the game, but that foul ball poll was a bummer for the fireworks!
We had a birthday party to go to on Saturday afternoon, but stopped at my parents’ house first to give my dad his Father’s Day gift and for a quick giraffe ride.
Emily Roses . . . always the life of the party.
Relaxing in the giant hammock at the Crupi girls’ birthday party.
Posing in front of the mushrooms. Definitely the first mushroom themed birthday party we’ve been to, but Stacey pulled it off and everything was so cute!
Father’s Day morning started off with snuggles and presents . . . while Emmy slept.
Matty always gets a new book to read to Lucy (and now Em) on Father’s Day. There was also a bottle of extra special bourbon in the bag. Matty’s girls know what he likes!
Matty’s dad came to visit, and Lucy had fun showing off and being wild and crazy for Grandpa Gary and Karen.
Emmy was napping. We are having the hardest time getting a picture of all four of us! Oh, and Lucy was devouring a piece of Holiday Market bread. So yummy!
She flies through the air with the greatest of ease!
My sweet, sweet girl.
It’s important to wear a helmet when pushing your bike . . .
. . . and while running across the field to get to the playground!
Ok, that’s it for me. I have to go spend time learning how to use my new Apple Watch! Happy Father’s Day to me! haha I’ve only had time to explore a fraction of what this thing can do, and I already love it. Once I figure it all out, I’ll tell you all about it.
Have a great week!
XOXO
