We had a very busy weekend. I could have used that extra hour that we lost!
Let’s start things off with Lucy’s new shoes! Her feet are growing like crazy, and it’s time to get some bigger pairs. The first of a few that I ordered arrived Thursday morning, and I literally squealed out loud when I opened them. Baby Skechers . . . are they not the cutest things ever?? They are slightly big on her, which means they should last all spring and summer. Fingers crossed!
We stopped at Meijer before gymnastics on Thursday, and Lucy got her first ride on the penny pony. She loved it!
Matty came to the gym on Thursday to see Lucy in action. She was interested in trying the rings this week.
She also played in the block pit for a long time with Ella and Greta.
She might be part monkey!
I love this picture. Lucy has surprisingly good balance.
At the end of the session, Coach Lynette handed out stamps and stickers.
I ran to Buy Buy Baby Thursday evening, and on my way home I saw Matty and Lucy walking in the park, and then they pulled out the snowblower to take that for a little ride. I think these two are going to have lots of fun in the evenings during the summer!
Friday was 36 weeks. Anytime you’re ready, Emily, anytime . . .
Lucy stayed the night at my parents’ house Friday night. Matty and I left bright and early Saturday morning to go to Grand Rapids to meet our friends’ new baby. Lucy went with my parents to my nephew’s basketball game. Looks like my mom had her hands full!
Here’s a not so great picture of me with super cute baby Theo. He’s about two months old and was such a cute little guy!
We hung out at the Beaton’s house for awhile and then headed to a brewery before driving back home. The guys . . .
. . . and the ladies. Baby Theo was snoozing soundly in his stroller.
This little lady asked to “go peep” on the potty before bath on Saturday night. After sitting there for a bit, she did! She got to enjoy two chocolate chips in the tub as a treat. I bought a book about potty training so I guess I better get to reading it. Is it bad to say that I’m not looking forward to the process??
On Sunday we went to a showroom for trampolines and play sets. Our backyard is going to be getting a new addition or two this spring! Here’s Lucy trying out (and loving) one of the trampolines.
And one of the swings. (Notice her new Minnie Mouse shoes . . . they light up!)
And one of the play sets. This visit was super helpful, because we determined that she’s just not ready for a full play set yet. The whole point is to get something in the backyard that could help entertain Lu while I might be tending to Emily. She couldn’t do any of the things on the play set by herself, and even the shortest one was pretty tall. She LOVED the trampoline, so we are actually considering one of those and just a basic swing set.
“I put on make up.” With a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
Stole this from my friend Bridget. I bought a bag of these on Friday and am powering through them quite nicely! I may have mentioned this before, but I like the “shaped” Reese’s better than the original. Eggs, Christmas trees, pumpkins . . . they are far superior to the traditional peanut butter cup. They don’t have the rough ridges around the edge, and they seem to have more peanut butter in them.
My brother-in-law is visiting his parents in Toledo with my nephew for a few days this week. We are going to meet up for a play date at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum on Monday. We haven’t seen this cute little guy since Christmas, so I’m excited!
We are definitely on baby watch over here, analyzing every little twinge that I feel. It could be a pretty standard week, or it could turn out to be a pretty special one. Only time (and Emily) will tell. If this is the only post you see from me for awhile, you’ll know why!!
Have a great week!
XOXO
