Hey everybody! Hope you all had a good weekend. We soaked up every last minute of the beautiful weather and sunshine since it could end at any second.
Backing up to Thursday for a minute, the Littles had a playdate at Oma’s house. Lucy and Gordie played with the dollhouse together . . .
. . . did some grocery shopping . . .
. . . and had some serious conversations over pouches at lunch.
Matty had to work late Thursday evening so Lucy and I did a little browsing at Home Goods. You can imagine her delight when we walked in and these guys were waiting for us! My BIL, Brian, says that $600 for the large giraffe is a steal. I’ll expect to see it under our tree with a big red bow around its neck on Christmas Eve. ๐
Friday morning Lucy woke up and kept pointing to all of her toys and then pointing to her crib. She wasn’t happy until all of the toys on her shelf had joined her in her crib.
A play date at Sky Zone on Friday morning meant lots of jumping . . .
. . . and lots of little kiddos eating snacks in big kid chairs.
Lucy likes to wear Grandma Ri’s glasses, and will even take bites of chicken if it means she gets to put them on for a few seconds. I’m not above using them as leverage.
Saturday morning we had our first professional photo shoot for Christmas pictures. Lucy was not a fan of Santa, but definitely enjoyed the cookie that the photographers gave her. I can’t wait to see the pictures and plan out our Christmas card! Afterward, we took Lu to the playground and snapped a few of our own pics . . . cookie crumbs on her mouth and all!
Playing Peek-a-Book with Sydney through the window. Also, we have zero trees in our backyard. Thank you, neighbor, for all the leaves!
The coolest baby on the block!
Doing a little math on her abacus from Ikea.
Best buddies.
My strategy for diaper changes lately has been to give Lu my phone to look at. Somehow, that smart baby figured out not only how to open the camera, but also how to turn it to selfie mode. #likemotherlikedaughter
The above picture was a sampling of the dozens that she managed to take in about thirty seconds. This is a screen shot of what my phone looked like!
Soaking up every minute of daylight before dinner. . . because it’s dark after dinner now! Thanks a lot, daylight saving time. This was Lucy’s first time on Matty’s shoulders!
Check out my cute family . . . and Matty’s great lawn striping!
Lucy took her first bath in the big girl tub this weekend. She did a great job and enjoyed all the extra water for splashing!
I’m a sucker for anything Melissa & Doug. This puzzle arrived from Amazon last week, and I couldn’t even pretend like I was going to wait a few weeks to give it to Lu. The chunky wooden pieces are super easy for Lucy to hold, and she’s well on her way to learning important Christmas vocabulary. Also, whenever she picks up the Santa piece she says, “Dada” which is hilarious.
And finally, I’ll leave you with this little gem of a video. The time change definitely caught up with Lucy around lunch time. She was a zombie and apparently forgot the proper way to eat her yogurt. It was hilarious!
We don’t have too much planned this week, except for a little thing called our GENDER ULTRASOUND on Friday morning! We aren’t excited at all. Knowing me, I probably will have a low key gender reveal, if I do one at all ๐
Oh, and speaking of babies . . . we heard through the grapevine this weekend that one of my loyal blog readers is expecting a baby girl in early March! Lauren, if you’re reading this, (and I hope you are!), congratulations!!!!! We are so excited for you guys!
Have a great week!
XOXO
Hi Molly! Of course I'm reading your blog! ๐ Can't wait to hear the news about the newest Kissel's gender! And thank you very much for the congrats and shout out! You made my week! ๐
Lauren
Hey Lauren, thanks for the comment! I don't usually get any and was super excited when I got the notification!
