Where do the days go? Seriously. It’s after 10:00 on Wednesday night, and this is the first chance I’ve had to sit down and work on this post. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I had to devote four hours of my life to the Bachelorette this week.
What has life lately been like at the Kissel house you may be wondering? (Or maybe you aren’t, but I’m going to tell you anyway!) It can be summed up with one word: unpredictable. Our Memorial Day vacation combined with Lucy’s illness, my illness, and a fresh tooth that just popped through have thrown everyone for a loop and Lucy’s schedule has gone right out the window. Some days she still takes two naps, some days she takes one nap (at what time of day is always a surprise), and one day she actually took no naps at all! If you know me at all then you know that this unpredictability is driving me crazy . . . but I’m trying to remain calm and remind myself that this is just a phase!
If our life lately can be summed up with one word, it can also be summed up with one picture . . . this one! Very little of the ravioli ended up in her mouth.
When it comes to napping and bedtime, sweet baby girl has been STRUGGLING. When it reaches the point where it’s clear to me that she is not going to stop crying and go to sleep, I usually grab my phone and put it on silent before I go in to rock her. That way if she falls asleep I can read and relax for awhile . . . or take snoozy selfies!
She had a hard time going to sleep, but she sure did wake up happy as a clam!
Pointing at the veggies that were getting a bath by the misters. Spaghetti squash and lettuce in the cart this time . . . way better than the Nutella and chocolate chips in the picture from last weekend!
There’s no better babysitter than daddy cutting the front grass. She watches Matty do the entire thing! #grabamagazine
Not sure where she learned to spank Minnie, but that’s definitely what was going on here! I like to think they were love taps.
How cute is this romper?! Thanks, Aunt Donna!!
Be still my heart, how cute is this picture?! She crawled in and pulled herself up to help Daddy get her bath ready.
Happily soaking in the tub!
So that’s life lately. Tomorrow is our fourth day in a row of having zero plans during the day. It’s worked out well because Lu’s schedule has been so crazy I don’t know how I’d plan anything anyway. However, we might have to go to the library and then to the park tomorrow because I’ve had enough of playing at home! Tomorrow night is Moms Night Out which I’m super excited about. It’s so fun to get together without the babies every once in awhile!
Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine!
XOXO
