My sweet baby girl is 11 months old today! I truly cannot believe that in one month she will be stuffing her face with first birthday cake. She’s my daughter, you know she’s going to demolish that cake!
Anyways, it’s been a big month for our Lucy Belle. She started crawling and pulling herself up on things all by herself. She also started swim lessons! Her obsession with books continues, as does her love for anything cheese or avocado. She still says mama and dada as babbling, but I swear she knows to say dada when Matty comes home from work. Goo Goo Ga Ga has recently made an appearance as well as “da,” which is the beginning of “dog,” I think. Lucy has also started giving kisses when prompted . . . and sometimes even without prompting which just melts my heart! I’m working on the “So Big!” arms in the air thing with her, but she’d rather just clap instead.
We are ringing in the big 1-1 with a whopping case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, which is quite possibly the most terrible name I’ve ever heard. In Lucy’s case, though, it’s the Whole Body Disease because she caught a strain of it that hasn’t been around since 1976. #vintageillness Red spots all over her little body, including the back of her throat. She is in surprisingly good spirits, though. 
Our weekend will be spent wrangling a spotty, contagious baby and helping two dogs recuperate from their surgeries that are happening today. But at least the weather is going to be awesome!!
