The big news around here lately has been the weather this week. It’s been spring-like and wonderful! It felt great to get out and do some walking.
And just like that, it’s time to put shelves on the wall for all the breakable things that Lucy used to not be able to reach. I think she was hoping to get some of her money out of that piggy bank so she could buy a new book!
And for anyone who might be concerned, Lucy’s daddy did a great job of anchoring that bookshelf to the wall so there’s no danger of it tipping over if she tries to pull herself up. #safetyfirst
Checking out mama’s cushy new yoga mat. Matty asked who that baby with the dark brown hair was.
This is a bittersweet development! Bitter because my baby is getting so big, and I miss cuddling during every feeding time. Sweet because Matt and I were able to eat dinner while she had her bottle.
It’s like this t-shirt was made especially for me! I laughed when I saw it at Kohl’s. I took a picture of it instead of buying it, but I keep thinking about it so I might have to go back and make the purchase. It’ll be a funny memento of my first year of motherhood.
And then I went to Buy Buy Baby and took a picture of this adorable swimsuit. And OBVIOUSLY had to buy it as well!
I had to try it on her as soon as I got home. She chose accessorize it with her hairbrush, so we have a little work to do in that department! And in case you’re wondering, YES, I see how adorable those arm rolls are!!
Making sure it passes the taste test.
These little gems arrived for her Easter basket today. Cutest hair clips ever!
And just in case you think it’s always glitz and glamour here at the Kissel house, I thought I’d throw in this little gem that Matt took of me. This is where the blogging magic happens, people! hahaha
In all seriousness though, I wasn’t even blogging at this time. I was doing schoolwork. Lucy was down for the night, I had just showered, and Matt was about to sit down and watch a movie about people who go camping and accidentally roam into bear country. This led me to ask myself several questions:
1. Why would you camp somewhere close enough to accidentally roam into bear country?
2. Why do people even camp?! (Hotels have all the conveniences you could ever need . . . and they don’t have bears! But they do have room service!)
3. Can I go in the bedroom and catch up on some Scandal episodes that are on the DVR?
Well, being the devoted wife that I am, I didn’t want to completely abandon him during our few precious hours of together time in the evenings. So I hunkered down with my Slanket (it’s a blanket with sleeves, and it’s life changing!), Matty’s headphones (because I don’t want to HEAR the bears either), my neck pillow, and my healthy snack (clementines and almonds!) and I did a bunch of work for my class. It was not fun, but I feel a little better about my progress.
So after an hour or so of working I rewarded myself by hopping over to blogland and doing this little post. Since then I’ve shed the slanket but gained a breastpump. #nopicturesplease
Just a typical Thursday night here at the Kissel house!
Looking forward to a good weekend that will hopefully include a super successful Easter photo shoot. Lucy has been eyeing the bunny balloons at Kroger in a major way. She’s never actually held or touched a balloon yet, but she wants to so bad! If the weather cooperates, all her bunny balloon dreams might come true!
XOXO
