This little cutie patootie turned six months old on Sunday! Maybe it’s the fact that she’s sitting up on her own, or maybe it’s that she’s wearing an Adidas track jacket, but she looks so grown up to me!
She went to the doctor for her well visit today, and here are her stats:
Weight: 18 pounds (80th percentile)
Height: 26.75″ (81st percentile)
Head Circumference: 44 cm (90th percentile)
They don’t have a percentile for cheeks, but if they did I’m sure Lucy would be off the charts!
The doctor was talking sippy cups, bottle weaning, and how to feed her puffs and real food. Slow down baby girl! I’m not ready to be done with bottle feeding . . .when will I get my snuggles?! The big finale of the doctor appointment was four shots – two in each thigh. Poor little thing.
This seems like an appropriate time to take a trip down memory lane. As I look at Lucy’s previous monthly pictures, I cannot believe how quickly time has gone! I feel like I’m starting to forget some of the things from her early days, and that makes my heart sad. I love every stage she’s been in, but I still can’t believe how quickly she’s growing up. It’s true what they say: babies don’t keep.
Oh my heart! . . .
