Sweet Babies and Sweet Potatoes

October 30, 2015 by Molly 1 Comment

This first picture pretty much sums up life lately at our house. Lucy is extremely fond of blowing raspberries and is pretty much covered in drool all day long.
I mentioned in a previous post that we are working on napping in the crib. I’m proud to say that it’s happened two mornings in a row! She’s lasted about 45 minutes both times. Look how happy she is with herself! What I don’t have a picture of is Lucy snoozing on the changing table prior to napping in her crib. She was getting fussy so my plan was to change her diaper and then put her in her crib. She was sound asleep mid diaper change. And, of course, my phone was in the kitchen.  Boooo! Trust me, it was adorable.
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING POST CONTAINS PICTURES THAT ARE TOO CUTE. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We go to our weekly Cuddle and Bounce music class on Thursday afternoons. This week the babies were encouraged to wear costumes. Oh. My. Goodness. They did not disappoint! I got Lucy a pumpkin costume from a second-hand clothing store for $3.50. As Halloween got closer, I was feeling a little bummed that I didn’t go all out and get her a ridiculous costume. Turns out I needn’t have worried. Lucy’s costume was ridiculous . . .ridiculously adorable!! My heart melts when I look at this picture!
We are all ready for Cuddle and Bounce – Halloween edition. Apparently neither one of us knows where to look when taking a selfie in the mirror!
Here’s Lucy with her teacher, Miss Karen, and then with all her little baby friends. Lucy had to sit in the corner because she’s the only baby in class who can’t sit on her own yet. #WeAreWorkingOnIt

On Wednesday night we made some sweet potatoes for Lucy to try. Matty helped puree them, and then I put them in the cutest little baby food storage containers.
We gave them to Lucy for the first time last night. I was hoping for the same reaction we get when we give her oatmeal, which is this . . .
Instead, we got this . . .
She took about 5 bites and then got fussy and started spitting them out. Oh well . . . we’ll try again tomorrow night.
Have a good weekend. I’m sure there will be more Halloween cuteness to post about next week.
Happy Halloween!!
